Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Spring Creek BBQ is very Texan. It feels like stepping into a barn, and is decorated with lots of cowboy decals and photos as well as the Texas flag. But I'm not complaining. The atmosphere and décor are suitable for a BBQ place.
It's comfortable and laid back. Don't worry about getting dressed up.
There are two separate dining areas with plenty of table and booth seating.
Menu and Pricing
At Spring Creek BBQ you aren't seated by a hostess and you won't have a server take your order. Instead you walk up to a serving station where there are several meats to choose from. Some of the meats available are BBQ ribs, Sausage, ham, and chicken.
After choosing your meat, you move down the serving station and pile your plate up with as much potato salad, macaroni and cheese, veggies, and mashed potatoes you want. You can also grab dessert and a drink while you're at it.
Once you have everything you want, a cashier will ring up your total (anywhere from $8.50 - $12.00), and then you can sit anywhere you want.
A waitress walks around with a basket of hot fresh rolls. You can have as many of them as you like. She (or he) will also refill your drinks.
Service
Service has always been great at this Spring Creek BBQ location. The person that serves the meat has always given generous portions. The cashiers are always polite and friendly, and the person serving the rolls and refilling the drinks checks on you pretty regularly, but not to the extent that it becomes intrusive.
Overall Impression of Spring Creek BBQ
I've been to other local BBQ places and none of them compare to Spring Creek BBQ. The meat is always tender and juicy, the BBQ sauces are amazing, and the side dishes are plentiful and delicious.
I enjoy the cafeteria serving style as it allows you to choose what and how much you want. There is also a separate serving area where you can get Blue Bell Ice cream.
If you're in the mood for really good BBQ and lots of it at a reasonable price ($8.50 - $12.00), I definitely recommend Spring Creek BBQ.
