Spring Decorating Ideas and Tips.

Spring, the time of growth and renewal. When people begin their spring cleaning, and get that bug to change things around again. Let in some more light. Add a few changes, bring the season inside. Decorating can be as expensive or as inexpensive as you want. Adding a few minor changes will make a world of difference after a long cold winter.

One good idea is to rearrange the furniture and repaint your walls. Sure white goes great with everything, but it gets dirty fast, and dust clings to walls. Its also drab. Instead repaint the walls with a fun bright color. Even lighter pastels are wonderful for bringing in the color and giving a room some new umph. When re decorating children's rooms, involve them in the choosing of the color. If you like the idea of something new but don't feel ready to tackle painting the walls, Choose some fun patterned wallpaper striping. The strips are several inches wide and can be placed at the top of the walls or in the middle of the walls.

If your looking for something less dramatic to spruce up your home for spring. Try a few splashy throw pillows. Or some new plants in brightly colored pots. Even a new throw rug will brighten up and change the space around in your home without spending large amounts of money. A new throw blanket on the back of your couch featuring flowers or spring like scenes is sure to brighten up a couch or a chair. Some colorful picture frames are also a fun idea to add life into your home.

Fresh flowers in the house always make it feel a bit more like spring. Try picking up some pretty flowers that you can get generally only in spring. Tulips, Daffodils, and Hyacinth are beautiful flowers. Or if cut flowers aren't your style, You can buy silk flowers or potted flowering plants to decorate your house with. Silk flowers have many uses, from putting them in a vase, making a wreath to decorate your front door with. Or simply pushing the stems into the soil of a potted plant for a bit of splashy color against the greenery.

Some things such as changing your bedroom sheets to a fun color or pretty print brighten things up drastically in a short amount of time. Try adding colored doilies or a pretty scarf on top of surfaces, not only do they keep the dust down, but they add color and life to your room without changing it. Putting a new table cloth on your kitchen table is another easy trick to bringing color back to your house. I like to keep several season related table cloths and rotate them as the weather changes. Another simple idea is to get rid of excess clutter that you accumulate throughout the winter. Put away the winter snow gear and heavy blankets. Pack away and store things that are winter related in plastic tubs and crates. Keep them safe for the next season.

Decorating for spring can be as big or as small as you want it to be. Subtle changes as well as large ones are noticed. Not to mention those changes make you feel so much better and happy about whats going on. Even something as simple re arranging your furniture can change the entire feel of a home.
