Spring Fashion and Beauty Trends

Spring is a great time to update your wardrobe. And while the temperature outside is still a bit cool, it's never too early to start incorporating great new spring pieces to wake up your outfits. Think florals, lace, maxi dreses, espadrilles and motorcycle jackets. This spring is about surprising mixes of color, combinations of texture, and great shoes, of course!

White lace. White lace is popping up everywhere, but you don't have to wear it head to toe to be on trend. Try a little white lace cami, or a white Converse top from Target. Mix and match with your favorite skinny or wide-leg jeans and a great pair of boots. Top it off with a military inspired jacket from Mark, or even a lightweight blazer for a look that is casual yet pulled together.

Ruffles. These are a great way to get attention. Try this sweet, ruffled tweed skirt from New York and Company for work. It's OK to layer on coordinating ruffled tops as long as they aren't too matchy-matchy. Don't forget the sweet open-toed pumps to go along with it.

Maxi dresses are a fun way to keep cool as spring turns to summer. For now, wear them with a light blazer or even a cardigan to keep warm. Try this cute one from Mark. Don't forget the matching espadrilles to dress it up and look super-chic.

Florals are always in for spring, but this spring, mix them up with some unexpected color, such as this black and white abstract strapless dress from New York and Company. Switch a saccharin-sweet floral print into an edgy, night on the town look by pairing it with a motorcycle leather jacket - or an inexpensive, Target knock-off.

Don't forget great shoes! You can keep rockin' your favorite black or brown knee-high boots with a simple wrap dress or leggings into spring. But for casual days, feel free to incorporate a pair of spring colored Converse sneakers or your favorite flip-flops.

For hair, keep it simple and relaxed with flowing, messy waves, a loose chignon, or a simple snake braid. Don't pull your hair back too tightly, as the trend is towards a softer, more gentle look. Add a few highlights to brighten your look for spring, or go for a rich chocolate brown, a vivid red, or even a soft, honey blond. Your stylist can help you pick a color that's great for you.

If your clothes are bright, keep your makeup simple and neutral. Try beige eyes with a coral lipstick, or even coral eyes with a nude lipstick. Or better yet, some bright - yet sheer- pastel colors are sure to liven up your mood and get you ready for spring!
