#5 Squidarella Color Changing Umbrella - UrbanTrim, $38
This umbrella is ultra cool. It starts out black with a pattern resembling splotches of white paint. As it gets wet from the falling rain, those splotches begin to change different colors. When dry, those splotches turn white again! The perfect umbrella for the person who has everything, likes to be unique or wants to be approached on the street - this is bound to get lots of comments.
#4 Saks Fith Avenue Ultimate Mini Umbrella - Saks, $32
Leopard print is the preferred pattern of many a fashionista, and with good reason. It matches all your neutrals, yet still holds its own against brights. This would be a great umbrella to pair with a khaki trench for a safari look, but will still look chic when carried for a rainy night out. This is still basic enough to take to work, but will stand out in a sea of boring navy blue or black umbrellas.
#3 Clear Bubble Umbrella - Urban Outfitters, $18
The bubble umbrella is hot this spring. They feature a pretty dome shape, which adds additional interest and a sweet old-fashioned charm. This inexpensive offering from Urban Outfitters is right on trend and is available in 5 different colors. Why not match it with your spring jacket? I personally love the clear option - it goes with everything.
#2 Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Mark Umbrella - Saks, $58
Another attention-getter. This umbrella is in a rich purple shade, featuring a graphic of a girl wearing sunglasses. I can totally see this purple providing a nice pop of color to brighten up a rainy day. The cartoon girl reminds me a little of Jackie O with her scarf and oversized sunglasses. Very cute and almost guaranteed to be different from what everyone else is carrying.
#1 Juicy Couture Heart Umbrella - Saks, $38
Shy girls, proceed with caution. This umbrella is in a parasol style, available in red or lavender and edged with ruffle trim. Frilly, girly, and even a little bit ridiculous - this umbrella makes quite a statement. If you avoid subtlety at all costs, this is the umbrella for you.
