Spring Fashion Trends 2009: Boots

These Boots Were Made for Walkin and Style Too!

Alexandra Romanov
The Spring trend in boots is bright, bold and weird? There are a number of trend watchers that agree that this season is somewhat out there in regards to the boot collection. I however managed to find a number of them that I really liked. I've included pictures of the top 5 as far as trend watchers are concerned. All can be purchased online or through their respective designers stores.

1- The newest trend that hits a 10 on the weird-o-meter is the peep-toe boot. I mean seriously, one of the reasons we wear boots is to keep our feet warm. Of course if you live in an area where that doesn't apply, you might really enjoy the peep-toe. The ones pictured are available through zappos online or through the Nina stores worldwide. They retail for $170

2- The next trend that I just like for the whimsy is the neon shockers out there. Don't be afraid to pair these lime green ankle boots from Milagro with a hot pink dress. It would make a great outfit for a night out and as a bonus your date is sure to be able to find you in the crowd! They retail for $90

3- The third paid of books is as high on both the whimsy and weird lists as you can get. Straight from the London Catwalk comes the 2009 Hot fink fuzzy boot. They are available in a wide variety of colors and retail for $80. They will get the attention of everyone you see, including the neighborhood dogs. They are bright, fun and so hot right now.

4- Strutting into the farthest reaches of space comes the next hottest trend in Spring of 2009: Futuristic. These blue ankle boots would be right at home in a Star Trek episode. They are very comfortable and available in a wide variety of colors through Zappos online. I should know, I own blue, black and purple pairs!

5- Finally, lets give a nod to Mirabella for continuing to remember that some of us really do like black and like it spiced up from time to time. The basic black boot is still here but for Spring Fashion 2009 it's studded or has crystals embedded into them. Dressed up. The photograph is of my studded boots. They are wonderfully comfortable and go with everything.

Remember two things when making your boot selection this Spring: Comfort is important. Don't spend more than you should. If you do then you will not have the money to buy shoes next season and that would be heartbreaking!
