A Pattern Poem Assignment
My daughter was given a poetry assignment in English class. I thought the assignment was fun, so we worked on it together and came up with a short and sweet little ditty.
The poetry assignment using patterns:
Gerund phrase as the subject
Finish the sentence with a rhyme.

A gerund is the -ing form of a verb. Used as a phrase, it is joined by complements and modifiers.

Spring into Summer Mood
Swimming in the pool
Is so cool.
Riding on your bike
Beats a hike.
Smelling all the flowers
Invokes inner powers.
Being with your friends
Start new trends.
