After a close, heated match, both teams walked away showing their higher than average intelligence but Dunbar won the right to face the reigning champ, Spring Lake Park - undefeated now for two years running - in the final round.

During the final round, both teams played very well, answering questions before the moderator was able to finish asking them. At one particularly humorous moment, the moderator was asking Spring Lake Park's team a series of questions that required the team captain to "name that George". From George Washington to George Foreman, Spring Lake Park's team captain was throwing out Georges faster than the moderator could get them out there. As the moderator picked up his pace to match, the question was, "George of Beatles fame...". Spring Lake Park's lightening fast reflexes faltered, causing the moderator to exclaim, "Ha! I stopped you in your tracks with that one!"

Despite missing George Harrison, the Spring Lake Park continued to dominate the competition, ultimately defeating worthy opponent Dunbar Elementary by 110 points.

Trophies were given to all three schools, and pictures were taken. Congratulations, Spring Lake Park, on your win! Kudos to Dunbar and Westlawn for a fight well-fought between the best ten and eleven ear old minds I have ever witnessed in intellectual battle.
