Spring Must Be Coming

Cathy Pelekakis
Okay, it is only the 11 th of March 2008 and we have had our first ice cream man come around the house. Now I don't have small children anymore, however I do have two small dogs, Missy and Samantha who are spoiled rotten. These two are like three year olds when it comes to their favorite summer time treat, a vanilla softie in a dish.

We have this one ice cream vendor who knows that these two girls like their ice cream. He even knows when we are home, he sees our cars in the drive way. That is when he will pull right in front of the house with those chimes going off. The girls are off like a rocket, Samantha climbs up on the top of the couch to peer out the window and Missy whimpers like a child.

These two dogs have even gotten their own leashes off of the table where we keep them and brought them upstairs to me if I am not fast enough to come down the steps to get them their creamie. Talk about spoiled....

And if I don't go out fast enough the ice cream man will stay in front of our house and ring that blessed bell until the front door opens. He has their ice cream ready in their little cups, he only fills it half way up and charges me a dollar for both cups. The girls are anxiously waiting in the house by hte door, licking their lips in anticipation, I tell you no lie it is like you have two little kids pulling on your shirt telling you the ice cream man is there....

Ah, to Spring, which leads into Summer and I still don't get any for myself, just these two little pets of mine. I hope they know what a good mom I am.,....

Awww, that is so cute. I live in the country so no ice cream man but I'm sure if we had one my doggies would react the same!

Too cute. I could actually picture your doggies wagging their tails as they look out the window for the ice cream man. And $1.00 for 2 cups, what a bargain ;o)
