Each day the sun shines a little more
And winter's gloom heads out the door.
Just as the flowers begin to bloom,
Filling the air with their sweet perfume,
Old Man Winter declares, "I'm not ready to go,
I need to give them one last snow."
So to the flowers the snow did cling,
Combining the beauty of winter and spring.
