Springtime

Julie Wimmer
Warm dew drops fall on cool grass blades
where worms and beetles come out to play
on another lovely, breezy spring day.

Flowers perch from their sunny spots
stretching in the morning sun light
and happily recoiling back when it's night.

Kids giggles and voices soar through the sky
as they ride bikes, skip rope, sing some rhyme
ever so happy because it's finally Springtime.
