Springtime Tennessee Festivals, Events and Other Fun Things

The weather is getting warm and the events and festivals in Tennessee are heating up. Besides looking at the beautiful scenery in Tennessee, there are a lot of events to keep you busy, entertained, happy and well fed. If your plans include the great State of Tennessee, check out this list and pick one or two!

East Tennessee's Events, March, 2011:

Titanic's First Annual Irish Celebration - March 1-31, 2011, Pigeon Forge, TN

You don't have to be Irish to enjoy this Irish celebration. The Titanic is a new attraction in Pigeon Forge and during March you will get to enjoy some Irish music and listen to Irish stories pertaining to the Irish men and woman who built and sailed the famous ship, the Titanic. Planning a birthday party, anniversary party or even a wedding, the Titanic in Pigeon Forge would be a lovely backdrop. Tickets for the Titanic Museum run from less than $30 for an adult with advance purchase or a family (2 adults, 4 kids) advance purchase of less than $58. Maple Syrup Festival and Exhibit - March 5, 2011, Johnson City, TN

If you enjoy maple syrup on your pancakes, head to this festival and learn how sap is collected from maple trees and made into syrup. Call 423-926-2631 for more information.

Knoxville Symphony Orchestra - March 12, 2011, Knoxville, TN

This special night will be a tribute to John Denver. You can expect to hear songs such as "Sunshine", "Rocky Mountain High" and "Annie's Song", as well as many more. If you are a John Denver fan you don't want to miss this show. Head on over to Knoxville and enjoy a night dedicated to a very talented man. The show starts at 8:00 pm. The Food City 500, March 20, 2011, Bristol, TN

Head on up I-81 a little further northeast to Bristol for the Bristol 500, the first short-track race of the season. Jimmy Johnson was the winner last year. Who will lead the pack this time? For more information visit bristolmotorspeedway.com or call 423-989-6900.

Middle Tennessee's Events, March, 2011:

22nd Annual Lawn and Garden Show, March 3-6, 2011, Nashville, TN

Tin Pan South, Songwriters Festival, March 25 - April 1, Nashville, TN
