Early springtime sun;
A yellow light shinning through;
My bedroom window;
A yellow light shinning through;
My bedroom window;
Rouses me from sleep;
And awakens my senses;
Song birds sing their song;
It looks so pretty;
I desire to go outside;
To feel the sun's warmth;
But I hesitate;
My aching body won't go;
No motivation;
I am stuck inside;
It is nearly afternoon;
I then remember;
And I sigh aloud;
I have nowhere left to go;
Except in my room;
I let the day go;
Just watching it all from here;
Soon the evening comes.

Tragic. Heartbreaking. But nicely written, Lisa. ((It is amazing to me how many competent, intelligent talented writers are CPs on AC because of disability keeping their lives curtailed and limited. One thinks one is the only one, but one isn't.))
This is so beautiful. Love the picture.
Excellent visualization. Wonderful writing!
I have many days like you describe, Chronic pain can be very restrictive on one's life. Some days worse than others. It's really hard for someone who has never felt the effects of it to understand. Keep the faith Sis.... Faith, Family, and Friends, that's what keeps us going!
