Spy On Your Man: Become a Private Investigator

Why Hire Someone When You Can Do it Yourself?

Wendy Rahilly
So you have been in a relationship for a while now, and all of a sudden your man is acting different. It might be time to hire yourself a free private investigator - YOURSELF! There are many clues that might indicate something is up with your man. Maybe he is not always coming home when he said he would, or not coming home at all. He's tired on a day when he says he went to bed early or he seems to be going to bed early every night. Maybe he's spending a lot of money, and you know it isn't on you. Or maybe you just have a feeling in your gut that something isn't right. What should you do? Spy on him, of course!

It has become more easier today to be your own free private investigator. Why hire someone, when you can do it yourself, right? Technology has made it easy to keep tabs on anyone, anywhere. Do you want to check up on what he is doing at home? You can purchase cameras that are small enough and easily disguised in things such as a clock, book or picture. These tiny cameras are capable of color recording, infra-red (recording in the dark)and can even be set up to stream straight to your computer or cell phone to watch in real-time or record to watch later.

Are you worried about where he is going? You can attach a small GPS to his car (under the car, in the glove compartment, in the trunk). With the GPS you can track where he goes and when he goes there. Some models will text you updates of where he is going, or you can download it to your computer. If you see he has gone somewhere out of the ordinary you will be able to check it out.

Maybe you are worried about what he is doing online. There is a variety of software out there where you can see everything that he types on the keyboard or view deleted email messages. You can even purchase software to help you retrieve deleted text messages and phone messages.

Be careful once you start spying on your man. You may not like what you find out. Or you may find out he is not cheating at all. If he finds out what you are up to, that could end your relationship faster than the affair that never happened. So, before you decide to be your own free private investigator and start following your man around, be certain that there really is a need for it.

Great well written article except that in the State of California, as well as many other states, conducting "investigations" without a license to do so is considered a criminal offense. In California it is a misdemeanor that is punishable by time in county jail and/or a $5000 fine. At current time the State of California and severl local District Attorney's Offices are actively pursuing prosecution. There is one case in Orange County where a retiree is charged with 58 counts of conducting unlicensed investigations. There are also cases in the news in San Francisco.

Make sure you want to know the truth or face the consequences of your actions as well.

It's been my experience that if there is that much distrust within a relationship, it is better to part ways than to waste energy on being Sherlock Holmes.
