Spyware, Adware and Rogue Dialers?? How Do I Get Rid of These?

Most people have some of this stuff on their PC. It's true! You just have to keep scanning for it and removing it.

I recommend these must have programs. [They are also free]

These are mostly for Spyware\adware. You will still need a good antivirus {kaspersky is free] and a firewall [windows works].

1. Adaware SE - Scans and destroys spyware, adware etc.

Basically install these programs and each time before you run them make sure they are up to date. Each program has a built in update option. You have to choose the update option and then choose to download those updates. Once your programs are up to date then maybe one a week log Windows into safe mode (keep pressing F8 when booting up your computer before the windows boot screen comes up and go to safe mode) and run Adaware and Spybot.

I recommend the following tips:

For adaware- make sure that it is up to date with its definitions so your PC can stay squeaky clean. Make sure you choose to perform a FULL SYSTEM scan.

For Spybot -When you install there will be an initial wizard to guide so make sure you do what it tells you to do. When you choose to search for updates make sure you have ticked the boxes for the update that are available before downloading the updates or else you will be downloading nothing. After downloading the update remember to clik the immunize button on the left and then click on the other immunize button that then appears on the top (the one with the green "+" sign)

For SpywareBlaster - This program isn't used for scanning your system but for protecting your internet browser. This doesn't have to be run in safe mode. Just run it every one in a while to check for updates. Once you've done this make sure you choose to ENABLE ALL PROTECTION.

Now if your computer is very sluggish and slow and you can't take it anymore, download "TuneUp Utilities". This program is awesome. It can do many wonders. From 1-Click Maintenance to Windows Styler this program has it all. Just run it and do the Maintenance. Afterwards you can discover so many things you can do!

If you follow these directions then your computer will be safe and CLEAN!
