Sqirlz Water Reflections: How to Add Pools of Water to Your Image?

As you know, you have to possess some certain knowledge about photo design to create image effects, which add animated pools of water to your image. You might think about using Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. It is not necessary to use these big softwares to add effects to your image and make it float.

I will introduce you two softwares that make your picture floating. They are:

*SQIRLZ WATER REFLECTIONS

You can download "Sqirlz Water Reflections" free. This software is only about 620KB and very simple to use. It is suitable for you to make a screensaver or a greeting card on your own.

The main function of this software is to make your image float (See the image for your idea). "Sqirlz Water Reflections" is the best way to add pools of water to an image. Nevertheless, unlike Photoshop or other professional photo-design software, "Sqirlz Water Reflections" takes you only a few steps to make your images move gently. The pools can be altered to give out mild rippling reflections of the scene above it. You can pick a variety of ripples details such as wave-length, period, perspective... The pool also can be showed in any sharp. You can save your animation as flash file or video clip file.

After downloading and installing, you can follow these steps to add floating effect to your image:

1.Click "Open" and choose the file you want to add animated pools of water. This software only supports .bmp and .jpg
2.Click "Start Creating Outline" and click where you want to make the effect in your image.
3.Click "Period of Animation" and put in the period of your wave-length. Click OK.
4.Click "Run Animation" to test your image.
5.-Click "Save Animation as Flash Movie" if you want to save your image as a flash file .swf
-Click "Save Animation as Video Clip" if you want to save your image as a movie file .avi

*NATURE ILLUSION STUDIO

This software has a very simple appearance. At first, you have to load an image you want to add effect. "Nature Illusion Studio" will provide you four different colors. Each color illustrates different effect: wave, floating water, waterfall, fire and smoke...

To use each effect, you have to brush the region of the image. Then, click "Autoview" -> "Preview" to have a look at your picture. You can change amplitude, frequency, ripple effect, speed, direction by sliding the panel. You can also choose vertical wave, horizontal wave or perspective wave.

The special effect of this software is users are able to add rain or snow to your image (choose weather). You can also add sound into the image by clicking "Sound" -> "Add" (this software only supports *.wav).

After finishing adding effects, you can save your image as screensaver, *.exe file, video clip or *.gif file

1. Build Scr: save picture as screensaver.

2. Build Exe: save picture as exe file.

3. Build Avi: save picture as avi file.

4. Build Gif: save your picture as gif file.

If you are not done with the image, you can save it as *.wip file. Therefore, you can load your image again and add more effect.

The trial version of "Nature Illusion Studio" can be downloaded at www.nufsoft.com. The full version costs $19.95. You can also download more than 200 free animated pictures from gallery in this website.
By using these two softwares and practicing a little bit, you have your image float, as you want. You can choose it as your screensaver or send it as a greeting card. Moreover, top of all, you know how to make your boring immobile images move. Have fun!
