Squealers has a lunch and dinner menu. They offer carry out as well as catering. Specials are only available at lunchtime. Their first restaurant was opened in 2001 in Mooresville while the Indianapolis restaurant followed in 2004.
Their menu is well rounded with appetizers, soups and salads, specialty selections, pit sandwiches, smoking pit dinners, a senior and child menu as well as dessert. The desserts sound wonderful but honestly, I've never had room to try them. The portions are of good size and the side dishes are as good if not better than the main course. I am sure you would be happy with just about any of the main course offerings from chicken to brisket to pulled pork and of course ribs - either St. Louis or Baby Back. They are offered wet or dry and with either sweet or hot or a combination of sauce. Dinners are served with two choices of sides and two fried biscuits with apple butter. Don't miss the green beans. They are prepared with bacon and are sweetened with a bit of sugar and cook long and slow just like the barbeque. I don't crave green beans but these are to die for. I also like their baked potato. I know you think you can't mess up a baked potato but I have had my fair share of them served rock hard and flavorless. Their salads are simple but the croutons and dressing are very tasty. I always leave overly full and very satisfied often waking the next morning ready to go eat at Squealers again.
While Squealers is not close to home for us, it is worth the drive across town. You can find them in Indianapolis at 5515 W. 86th Street Indianapolis, Indiana Corner of 86th & Zionville Road.
