St. Ives Whipped Silk
I had seen commercials for St. Ives Whipped Silk for several months, while I was suffering through cracked and bleeding hands. But, I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on it. After all, St. Ives Whipped Silk does cost more than many other leading brand lotions. Eventually, I gave in and bought a small bottle of St. Ives Whipped Silk when I found it for around $1. This was basically a trial size that wouldn't last long, so if it didn't work I wouldn't feel bad about wasting it. When I got home I applied some of the St. Ives Whipped Silk to my hands and immediately noticed several qualities that I loved. First of all, you only need a tiny amount of St. Ives Whipped Silk to cover your hands. Second, I noticed that the St. Ives Whipped Silk wasn't burning my hands like other brands had done. Third, I noticed that the dryness of my hands immediately went away. I was completely in love with St. Ives Whipped Silk. It worked better than any other lotion I had ever tried. But, I was still not happy about the price. This led me to search for other brands that might work as well at St. Ives Whipped Silk. What I found next was Suave Advanced Therapy.
Suave Advanced Therapy
Being unhappy about the price of St. Ives Whipped Silk, I decided to try Suave Advanced Therapy. The price was very affordable and Suave has always been known for having products that were just as good as more expensive brands. I went home and tried Suave Advanced Therapy. The first thing I noticed was that Suave Advanced Therapy lotion was very thin, while St. Ives Whipped Silk is very thick. The second thing I noticed was the burning sensation. Suave Advanced Therapy was not soothing at all. I immediately had to wash it off my hands. Suave Advanced Therapy does a decent job if your hands aren't in bad shape, but if your hands are already dry Suave Advanced Therapy will only make them worse.
Obviously, St. Ives Whipped Silk wins this battle hands down. It may cost a lot more, but you get what you pay for. Suave Advanced Therapy leads consumers to believe that it can help cure dried hands, but really it is better suited as a way to prevent dry skin. If you're like me and hate to pay a high price for something like lotion, you will love that fact that a bottle of St. Ives Whipped Silk will last several months. I apply St. Ives Whipped Silk every night before I go to bed and still a large bottle has lasted me several months. If you want soft and smooth hands or just want to cure hands that are cracked and bleeding, choose St. Ives Whipped Silk.
