They start serving the meal at 4:00 pm and finally close up around 8:00 pm. The cost is generally $8.00 per person, children under 5 are free and senior citizens are discounted. This price includes, all you can eat and drink, as well as the atmosphere and a little green plastic leprechaun hat for everyone.
Their yummy menu consists of beer, soda or water to drink, corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and some absolutely delicious Irish soda bread. On each table, you will find all the fixings necessary for a corned beef dinner, including, mustard, ketchup, vinegar, butter and horseradish. This delectable meal is followed with a cup of steaming hot coffee and a slice of cake.
While enjoying the meal with your family, a real Irish band plays the old songs we all know and love. The local girl scouts are there each year selling their cookies and the boy scouts offer 50/50 tickets for an end of the night raffle, in which the money is split between the winner and the boy scout troop.
If you are looking for something special to do on St. Patrick's Day, this is the place to do it! The meal and the atmosphere at the Claryville Firehouse are enjoyed by children and adults alike each year and hopefully, will be for years to come. It is great to know there is a place where families and communities can come together on important days to celebrate, such as St. Patrick's Day and while we are all there enjoying the meal and the company, we are supporting a wonderful cause.
