You can collect shamrocks by killing monsters anywhere. Try to aim for ones that are more at your level (preferably yellow status) so that you have a better chance of them dropping items. You can also sport charm accessories or gear to better your odds of the monsters dropping items. Once you get 10 shamrocks, go back to Judy which you will trade her the shamrocks for 10 nets. Use these nets to catch leprechauns. You can do this by clicking on a leprechaun and double clicking a net in your inventory window. You can also hotkey the nets for convenience. Note that the leprechauns move very fast and you must be close enough in range to catch them successfully. Leave your Quest window open so you can keep track of how many you catch. You'll need to catch 10 leprechauns in order to receive the reward. You might run out of nets, so in that case you will have to collect 10 more shamrocks for 10 more nets (you cannot just collect 2 or 3 shamrocks and turn them in for 2 or 3 nets, they are traded in lots of 10) or you can purchases a few nets from other players' stores. Once you collect all 10 leprechauns, return to Judy in Zant and turn them in. She will reward you with a Green Sporty Schematic. These are used to craft a highly-sought designed cart in conjunction with other special mats needed. These are most useful for those with characters that are Dealers/Artisans. If you have no use for these, you can sell them from your own shop, as this type of schematic is a very popular one.
This event usually starts right before St. Patrick's Day and ends a week after. While you are collecting shamrocks, you can also get special Leprechaun boxes while killing monsters. Once opened they can either contain a leprechaun suit (for girl characters, it's actually a cute St. Patty's themed dress), leprechaun shoes, leprechaun hat, leprechaun gloves, or a 4-Leaf Clover. All of these items contain extra charm stats. Extra ones can be resold or disassembled into Jupiterunes for refining Event items.
