Austin, Tx. is know for it's live music and bars and on St. Patrick's day the bar is raised a notch and the Irish come out to celebrate in full force, but what if you have little Irish to celebrate with, well here is an event for the whole family to attend to celebrate St. Patrick's day.

Things Celtic, located in Austin, Tx., is a place to pick up Irish gifts, clothing and music, and while so many others will be celebrating St. Patrick's day at local pubs and bars, Things Celtic brings the celebration to their store for the whole family to enjoy.

Things Celtic is probably the only place in Austin for St. Patrick's day children's entertainment. They have an activity area for children, a booth to find out all about your Irish family name history and even have a booth with live sheep for a "Sheep to Sweater" demonstration.

Activities schedule for children vary throughout the day with live local Irish bands performing for the family to enjoy. Activities that are schedules for St. Patrick's day include a Treasure Hunt, Irish dance step lessons, Limerick contest, and Irish ceili dance lessons. The Limerick contest runs and is judged throughout the day with the winner announced at the end of the day. There are also food activities to enjoy the taste of St. Patrick Day with Irish appetizers and food alike. The festivities usually begin in the morning around 10 AM and last throughout the day until around 4 PM.

Things Celtic sets up a stage in the back of the store to host live entertaiment all day, with sounds of local Irish bands and story tellers.
