St. Patrick's Day Events for Adults in DC Metro Area

On February 15^th, many bars in the DC area held the Guinness Toast, to kick off St. Patrick's Day. With St. Patrick's Day coming up, people are looking for great places to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I found some great events for the die-hard St. Patrick's Day partygoers.

Kegs and Eggs 9: Entering its 9^th year, this popular event is hosted by DC101, and past guests include 3 Doors Down, American Hi-Fi, Hoobastank, Sum 41, Soul Asylum, Saliva and more. This year's event takes place at the Clarendon Ballroom in Arlington, VA on March 14^th. Featured performers include Carbon Leaf, Rooney and Cowboy Mouth. Doors open at 7:30 a.m., but early arrival is recommended because of long lines. This is a 21 and up event.

ShamrockFest: What started as a Street Festival in Arlington, VA has turned into one of the Hottest Saint Patrick's Day Party on the East Coast. This year's event returns to RFK stadium Festival Grounds on Saturday, March 15. Festival goers will be treated to 11 stages of entertainment. The amazing acts performing this event includes Carbon Leaf, Great Big Sea, Army of Me, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Pubcrawlers, O'Danny Girls, Paul Oakenfield, Tommy Lee and DJ Aero and more. In addition, you got a St. Patrick's Day Village, Amusement rides and NCAA hopes viewing areas. Tickets are now on sale. I recommend buying your tickets in advance to avoid long lines.

Fado DC 10^th Anniversary Party: One of DC's favorite Irish bars celebrated its tenth year in DC. Just a few blocks from the Verizon Center, Fado is your home for European soccer action and their famous Monday Night Pub Quiz. On March 8^th, they're holding a 10^th anniversary party. Guests can win prizes including a trip to Ireland.

7^Th Annual Leprechaun Leap: 9 days before St. Patrick's Day, Lindy Promo brings St. Patrick's Day early to Midtown DC. This event features 12 bars and restaurants in the area. Each venue has food and drink specials plus green beads and a bag piper performing along the way. Advance Tickets are selling for $7 and $10 if you bring 2 can goods for the Manna Food Center. You can buy your tickets on the Lindy Promo website. It's a 21 and up event.

St. Patrick's Day at McFadden's: One DC's favorite College Night hotspot is holding 2 St. Patrick's Day events in one place. At 8 a.m., McFadden's has the Morning Mayhem on St. Patrick's morning. At 3 p.m., the venue is hosting the Shamrock and Shenanigans. This holiday event runs to midnight with special on Irish drinks. In addition, you will see dancing, beads and other cool stuff to end your St. Patrick's Day season. If you can't wait until St. Patrick's Day, McFadden's has the St. Patrick's U event on March 13^th.
