St. Patrick's Parade 2009 in Downtown Atlanta - March 14th at 12:00 noon
Waves of green will roll through the streets of Atlanta for the 127th Atlanta St. Patrick's Parade (the 2008 parade was cancelled because of tornado damage). Expect 200 units, including floats, bands of every kind, military units, Bagpipe & Drum Corps, Irish dancers, clowns, high tech firefighting equipment, police units, drill teams, dogs, horses, antique cars, dignitaries from Ireland, our own government leaders, characters from the Georgia Renaissance Festival, an army of "Star Wars" stormtroopers, members of the Atlanta Rollergirls and many others to pass by. The parade begins at the intersection of Ralph McGill Boulevard and Peachtree Street, and ends at Underground Atlanta. Free. For more information, click here.
St. Patrick's Day Festival at Underground Atlanta - March 14th 12:00 Noon-6:00 PM
If you're coming as a family, come early to partake in the festivities, as things may get a bit wilder as the day wears on. The St. Patrick's Day Festival encompasses various celebrations of Irish heritage and culture. Live Irish entertainment will be showcased throughout the day, along with family activities and inflatables, time capsule making, vendors, and of course, green everywhere! A dozen different singers and bands, including a U2 tribute band, will perform on four different stages.

10th Annual Fado St. Baldrick's Event - Fun for a Cause - Friday, March 13th
They say bald is beautiful. And when charity's involved, the allure is even harder to resist. The St. Baldrick's Foundation will host an event at Fado's in Buckhead in which folks volunteer to have their heads shaved to help raise money for childhood cancer research. Those who are willing to brave the razor are coming together as teams and have collected donations from friends and family. Shaving takes place at 2:30-8:00 p.m. when volunteers will take the stage for extreme haircuts, courtesy of the folks from Roosters Barbershop. A complimentary buffet keeps Irish eyes smiling, and Internet radio station 99X hosts the proceedings. Those who aren't willing to sacrifice their locks can donate online. Shamrock & Roll Fest - Saturday, March 14th at Meehan's in Sandy Springs
DJ Moneyshot will broadcast live, plus attendees will enjoy live music from 2:30-10:00 PM by Nic Cowan, Critty Upchurch, Francisco Vidal Band and Sister Hazel.
22nd Annual St. Patrick's Celebration and Block Party at Limerick Junction in Virginia Highlands, Tuesday, March 17 -Doors open at 11:30 AM. 822 North Highland Avenue.
The party starts inside the pub with live music from Chris Ricker and Galen Crader beginning at 12 noon. Outdoors, behind the pub, a huge block party will begin at 4:00 PM with live music from The Laura Dees band, The Stooge Brothers and The Kevin Lewis band. Irish beer and traditional Irish food will be available both indoors and outdoors.
Fado Street Festival in Buckhead - Tuesday, March 17th - all day
7:00 AM: Kegs & Eggs Kick Off.
Fado Street Festival kicks off with Irish Bag Pipes and live rockin' acts such as; Astral Freaks (Van Morrison Tribute Band), Atlanta's own Justin Band and U2 cover band Desire. Rock100 will host a live radio remote covering all the excitement and surprises. Don't miss the Guinness Gig Rig-more Guinness will be poured at Fado than any pub in the South East! Rain or shine. $10, after 12:30pm $15.
