St. Patrick's Day Gifts

Pearlygates
St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner. If there is someone you would like to give a gift, why not make it yourself? Here are some ideas you can put together to give that special gift.

For the gardener in your life, you can make a gardening basket or tote... Put in a pair of green gloves, green garden clippers, gardening book, a few garden tools, seed packets and tie a large green bow to the handle.

For a coffee drinker, get a mug and some paint pens. Write their name or a cute Irish saying on it. You can fill it with flavored coffee packets and maybe some chocolate covered coffee stirrers.

For a little girl, get a white pair of socks and sew on some green ruffle lace trim, little green buttons or you can put on a shamrock.

St. Patrick's Day gift... for the cook or baker in your life buy a green apron and with a white or black paint pen, write on "Kiss me I'm Irish."

For a plant lover, buy a terra cotta pot and saucer. Paint the pot and saucer green or just paint on a shamrock. Put in some dirt and sprinkle on clover or herb seeds. Water well, mist every day and the clover should start spouting in about a week.

For a little grandson or granddaughter, buy a bib, onesie or t-shirt. With a fabric paint or paint pen write on it "I Love My Irish Grandma or Grandpa."

For an older grandson or granddaughter, make a gift certificate. Take a blank note card and stamp or paint some green shamrocks on it. With black marker write what you will do with them. Such as going out to dinner at their favorite restaurant or going to the theater for a movie of their choice.

For the businessman, buy a green tie and stamp little black shamrocks on it. If you can find an Irish iron-on at a craft store you could easily just iron that on a tie.

For the busy woman, buy a canvas tote and some pins that are appropriate for St. Patrick's Day and put a few on the tote. She can do the same then for 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.

Great ideas. But to tell you the truth I never thought about giving St. Patty's day gifts. Guess I should go shopping.

By the way, thanks for telling me that my article on stopping a cough was listed on google. Didn't realize.

Garden gloves are a great idea - especially with spring right around the corner.
