St. Patrick's Day: A Great Holiday for a First Date

For a first date you could make any night befit it, however if you want this event to be on a special and unique occasion, a great holiday is St. Patrick's day. Not many other holidays offer such a lively and fun setting for a date. Usually one would think of February 14th as being all about romance, but that holiday can someone be too much pressure on a first date. It can become awkward to head out on your first date on a day dedicated to lovers and passion, when you are only starting. So if both of you think this would be a bad idea for now, go ahead and wait a month and you will not likely be let down. When selecting a holiday that includes the greenest of green, festive celebrations and fun, you take out the trouble of too much planning and focus on the fun side of your love, rather than romancing too soon.

It depends on where you live, but most places have many different entertainment options, which are sure to be a blast for a first date. If you are uncertain of the locations of your local festivities just use a search engine and enter your town and state, or if you live outside of the USA enter your location and search for St. Patrick's day events.

Some fun things to do include:

Parades: There are a lot of places that have huge parades to celebrate Irish heritage. Some have floats some have marching bands, horses and concerts. Some festivals have side stands next to parades for special Irish treats and beers.

Pubs: There are Irish pubs in a lot of places near cities. On St. Patrick's day you will find them brimming with excitement. They will likely have live Irish music and holiday cheer. They'll have Irish food and fun events. On March 17th this is one of the best places to be. Please note that at night you may need to be 21 to enter.

Picnics during the day: If you do decide you want some romance, and only if the weather is nice for the day; a nice picnic in the park can be beautiful for this day. Bring a few sandwiches, something light, and maybe hunt for some green clovers or cut-outs.

Dancing And Dressing: Wherever there is music, it's very fun to dance on this day, especially with someone else. So get groovy and start having fun! Make sure to dress in green as it only makes this day even more fun! There is an old tale of getting pinched on St. Patrick's day if you are not wearing green.
