St. Patrick's Day is a fun day of celebration for both Irish and non-Irish alike. People in Buffalo, New York and the surrounding areas enjoy a number of festivities each year including an annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

The 2009 St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 15th and begins at noon. The parade will start at the Valley Community Center located between South Park Avenue and Elk Street. Buffalonians wishing to see the parade should locate themselves along Elk Street, South Park Avenue, Smith Street, Elk Street, Hamburg Streek and O'Connell Street. Since weather can be precarious parade watchers should check their local weather forcast and dress appropriately. Mid-March in Buffalo, New York can range from warm and sunny to cold and snowy.

This year's parade boasts of sixty units. There will be Irish Dancers, local police, fire, and rescue squads, bands, floats, clowns, as well as a variety of other types of entertainment.

The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is a family event and all Buffalonians are welcome and encouraged to come!

    there is not saturday march 15, 2009, so I'm assuming it's saturday march 14??
