Hoboken is starting early this year with their parade being held on Saturday March 6. The parade starts a 1 p.m. and begins at the corner of 14th Street and Washington Street. It will run down Washington Street. Since there are many bars and restaurants along the route plus dozens of house parties, the town is cracking down on rowdy behavior. There will be plenty of police around and tickets for drunk and disorderly will be given out.
This is a popular parade, especially with the twenty and thirtyish population that call Hoboken home. But as the police will be on hand to keep things under control, be sure the house parties stay in the house.

The St. Patrick's Day parade in Seaside Heights is a family affair and has been going on for 26 years. The parade starts on 12 noon on Saturday March 13 with a rain date scheduled for the noon of the next day. The parade route is only 1- 1/4 miles long and starts at the Seaside Park border, marches down the Boulevard and ends at Sampson Avenue.

Post a CommentThey cancelled the Morristown parade 15 minutes before it began with the paraders all soaked already. Bad wind and rain. They may reschedule for April 10 but many locals resent the price.
Will they get rained out? Hoboken was smart to have theirs on March 6!
