There will be plenty of bargains at the White Elephant and Used Book sales. It's a great way to find deals on books, furniture, household goods, toys, tools, and other odds and ends all in one place.
Place your bids in the Silent Auction which will be filled with goods, services, packages and gift certificates donated by our parishioners. They range from expensive to inexpensive. There is also a raffle with lots of prizes.
Make sure to check out the Community Health Fair. There will be lots of information on good health and community resources along with flu shots for only $25. The Blood drive will also be there that day.
The Pet Fair is sponsored by the ASPCA and offers information on adoptable family pets from their adoption facility. There will be real pets there to tug on your heart strings and also a children's favorite animal art contest.
There will also be a Christmas booth, antiques, and The Country Bake Sale with tons of freshly made cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, candies, jams, jellies, preserves, and more. Make sure you get there early to buy some of Monsignor's famous homemade bread!
Children's games and musical entertainment will be going on all day long. A couple of new activities this year are the Ghost Walk and a Scavenger Hunt, along with a 9 hole Mini Golf course.
The Knights of Columbus will be busy grilling up lots of hot dogs, hamburgers, bratwurst, knockwurst and more for the hungry crowds. They'll also offer sides such as potato salad, relishes, pickles, etc. and there will be water, sodas and beer. They'll have to grill up lots of extra hot dogs and brats for the Hot Dog and Bratwurst eating contests!
Some other contests this year are the Little Miss Oktoberfest, Jr. Mr. and Miss Oktoberfest, and the 16 and over Mr. and Miss Oktoberfest.
