Pros
There are plenty of exercise bikes sold in the market that just aren't mean for tall or short people. Short people can't reach the pedals and tall people can extend their legs properly. That is no the case with the Stamina 4545. Since the seat can be adjusted diagonally it can go as high or as low as necessary without compromising the compactness.
With Stamina 4545 adjusting the tension is a snap. You don't need to bend over and turn a knob or something like that. The tension adjuster for this bike is located in the handlebars. With just a push of a button you can increase or decrease the resistance level.
Next is the seat. You should know that sub $200 exercise bikes tend to have hard seat. That is not the case with the Stamina 4545. The padded seat is pretty comfortable and since it's a recumbent it gives good support on your back. You can easily do a one hour session on this bike without feeling any strain on your bottom or back. That's really nice.
This bike has an easy-to-read monitor that displays speed, time, speed, calories, distance and heartbeat. There's a heartbeat sensors built into the handles so you can track your condition at all times.
Cons
First is the heartbeat sensor on the handles. It only works if you keep your both hands on the handles at all times. If you, say, grab the remote to chance the channel it stops counting. Secondly is the calorie counter. The numbers shown are really too good to be true. Even though those two are not really big matters but still they must be noted so you'll know that you can't count on them too much.
Conclusion
For a $190 exercise bike the Stamina 4545 Magnetic Fusion Recumbent Bike really exceeds expectations. It may not be perfect and it certainly can't compare to that gym bikes that cost over a thousand dollars but it sure is a nice bike in its price range. You really should go to your local store and test this one out for yourself.
