Stamina 9200 CPS Indoor Cycling Bike Review

Jamie Cortez
Stamina is a well-known exercise bike manufacturer. Unfortunately their lines seem to be a mixed batch. Some models receive rave reviews, others mixed and some are downright disappointing. One mode that received mixed reviews is the Stamina 9200 CPS Indoor Cycling Bike. It is sold for $400 in most stores but those who buy it can't seem to agree whether it's a good bike or a bad one.

Anyway the followings are some of the good and bad things of this bike. Once you read them all you can make a better judgment so you can decide if you should get this bike or search for a better one.

Pros

Since this bike comes unassembled you need to put it together yourself but it shouldn't take too long. In fact you can put all the pieces together in about ten minutes. It's that simple!

The assembled unit looks compact, well constructed and seem sturdy. Both the seat and handle bars can be adjusted easily. One of the best things about this bike is that you can replace the pedals and seat with any standard aftermarket products. So if you don't like them or if they're broken finding the replacement won't be such a challenge.

Riding the bike feels smooth. It also strong enough to let you stand up and ride with everything you got. The steel frame is clearly made to withstand such stress.

Cons

Just like most exercise bikes the seat on this one is nowhere near comfortable. You would end up buying a gel seat cover or foam pad. It's okay if you don't want to buy one but prepare for a sore bottom after thirty minutes ride on this bike.

Next is about noise. This bike clearly cannot be labeled quiet. It whispers when you pedaling fast. It may or may not bother you but personally I prefer a quiet bike neither whisper or screech.

There are small wheels on the front roller that supposedly help you when moving this bike around. Unfortunately they are way too small to be useful. It is a lot easier to just lift it up than push.

Conclusion

The Stamina 9200 CPS Indoor Cycling Bike may not be the best choice for a $400 bike. There are some models from Schwinn that cost roughly the same but better in terms of quality. Now it's your call. Do you want to buy a Stamina or Schwinn?
