In today's busy life people do not have enough time to keep themselves fit. They are busy whole day in their jobs, business, household work etc. Due to our busy schedule, we do not pay attention towards our health. There are different ways through which we can keep ourselves fit and energetic. We can do some exercises, join a gym, swimming, go for a walk, or do yoga. Perhaps even to attempt performing these exercises, we need some stamina. Now what does stamina mean? "It is the energy and strength which our body needs, to continue some work over a long period of time." No matter what work we do, the continuity of that work depends on how much stamina we have. Especially for athletes, stamina is must. Athletes without stamina are like a car without wheels.

Stamina could be muscle stamina, swimming stamina, playing stamina, running stamina, working stamina, exercising stamina, sexual stamina, and stamina for boxing and so on. The list could go very long. Now the question is that what all we can do to increase our stamina? There are lots of exercises we can do to increase our stamina. Fitness, good health and lots of exercise are the three main components used to increase one's stamina. There are lots of stamina exercise equipments are available in the market. For instance we have:

1. Stamina exercising bikes: It burns calories and has a heart rate monitor.
2. Rowing machines: A durable exercise machine which burns off calories
3. Gym fitness exercise equipments: Working out regularly in gym is another way to improve stamina.
4. Stamina abdominal hyper bench: Regular exercise on hyper bench gives ripped abdominal muscles and powerful back muscles.
5. Stride stepper: It is used for aerobic workouts, toning the buttocks and thighs while improving the condition of our heart and lungs.

These are some famous equipment available in the market, which we can buy and even use at home. Generally speaking, before joining any fitness class, we need to understand what exactly we want and the purpose for which we need to improve our stamina. For instance if you are a basketball player, you should do those exercises which could contribute an increase in fitness and high jumps. So you should do press ups, sit ups, squats, chin ups, depth jumps etc. If you do boxing which is an intense contact sport, you should rather do pushups, pull ups, squats, run long distances, do regular rope jumping as it strengthens the calf muscles and above all do extended heavy bag and sparring work outs.

Finally in conclusion we need to understand that what is it, for which we need to improve our stamina? What is the basic need of that task and what are the key parts of our body which are going to be indulged in completing that task efficiently and effectively. As mentioned above, a basketball player would do different exercises than one who is a swimmer.
