Stamina Pro 15-5300 Silent Magnetic Resistance Upright Bike Review

Jamie Cortez
Even though the Stamina Pro 15-5300 Silent Magnetic Resistance Upright Bike has the word "Pro" in its name this bike is certainly not made for pro bikers or anyone who are looking for a challenge. This is a simple and basic exercise equipment that would fit anyone who need a good exercise daily. The followings are some of the good and bad points of this bike. You should read them first before deciding whether you should buy this on or not.

Pros

This bike comes unassembled but the major parts are already intact so all you need to do is put the minor parts in place. The overall assembly proces will take less than an hour.

Getting bored is out of the question when you have the Stamina Pro 15-5300. With eight tension settings plus six preset programs you can have a variety of workouts to try. These programs are Aerobic, Interval, Hill, Mountain, Fat Burn and Maximum Fat Burn. Of course you can just hop in and ride without worrying about the presets.

The large LCD display shows you the speed, time, distance, heart rate and calories burned. Even though it does not have backlight it is still easy to read. By default the display shows every metrics in cycle but if you just want to keep an eye on one just press the Mode button and choose which one you want to display.

Cons

Even though the overall assembly process took less than an hour hooking up the tension cable took about twenty minutes. Make sure you got helping hands during assembly.

The next minus point is the seat which is quite uncomfortable. Luckily it seems to have break-in period so after some hours riding the bike it gets better. However you may still want to buy additional gel seat cover to improve the comfort.

And finally it's about the height restriction. If you're a short person you'll find this bike unusable. It's not designed for short people so if you're less than 5'1" your feet won't be able to reach the pedals.

Conclusion

Overall the Stamina Pro 15-5300 Silent Magnetic Resistance Upright Bike is a decent basic bike. If you think you're kind of short you may want to check your local store and give it a test ride. That should give you a better idea about this bike. See if your legs can reach the pedals just fine before you decide to buy it.
