Not long after its end on TV would it be resurrected in a feature length film again starring these three actors along with much of the TV series original cast. That feature length was the beginnings of the franchise that has gone onto make cinematic history. Even then it was considered before its time. Star Trek launched a phenomenon that spans over four decades. The premise of the super sized hit sci-fi featured the futuristic and spacecraft time travel that fascinated the nation.

Post a CommentThe original release date of late 2008 changed to summer 2009. The same thing happened to the latest Harry Potter movie. It was supposed to come out in September 2008 but it is "delayed" until this year. I wonder why the release dates are being pushed out for these blockbuster movies?
It's funny, since he starred in the role of Captain Kirk when the series began on television that Shatner writes about Kirk and Spock meeting when they were teenagers. I seem to remember one of the first Star Trek shows having Kirk meet Spock on board the Enterprise but they had never met before. Does anyone else remember that? I've read the book and will probably watch the movie because it is well written -- but it doesn't match the facts, at least those which I remember.
