The audience will experience each of the live symphonic orchestra's musical pieces in correlation to the themes of the movies on the largest ever portable LED screen ever attempted for a traveling venue. This stunning screen, developed exclusively for the Star Wars in Concert tour, displays scenes from the films while lasers and other light shows wrapping the audience in the powerful music.
"This'll be the biggest, baddest sounding orchestra that anybody's ever heard," stated tour producer, Spencer Churchill. The two hour show will basically take you through the chronological events of Anakin and Luke Skywalker. The concert will move through scenes that include the epic battles, martial arts and the softer, more emotional scenes as well, creating a rollercoaster of feelings for the audience to experience.
The Star Wars phenomenon has been enjoyed by multiple generations and this show is targeted for all of these generations to experience the Star Wars saga as never before. The show is not only the amazing live music coupled to the story. Lucas Arts and the show's producers Another Planet Entertainment are also including an exhibit of props used in the making of the films. The vintage costumes and other memorabilia will be on display for the audience to view, many of which have never been seen before by the public.
"It's a different way of looking at the familiar," tour partner Gregg Perloff expressed to Rolling Stone Magazine, "We're not going to fall victim to cheap gags, which you certainly could do in this case." For Star Wars fans of all generations, this looks to be an amazing event.
The first show is scheduled for October 1st and 2nd at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. Tickets for the Star Wars in Concert tour go on sale August 2nd, 2009 ranging from $35 to $75. You can see the tour schedule, make your plans to attend and purchase tickets at the Star Wars in Concert website.
