In Forces of Corruption, you have a new faction to play as, The Zann Consortium. Tyber Zann is the greed driven criminal leader behind the Zann Consortium. Tyber used to work with the notorious Jabba the Hutt. The Rebel Alliance has just destroyed the Empire's Death Star. With the Empire and the Rebel Alliance in full chaos with each other, Tyber sees this as the perfect time to set his plans in motion: corrupt the galaxy and take everything for himself! His ultimate goal is to gain control of the Empire's new Star Destroyer: The Eclipse. The Eclipse is twice the size of the regular class Star Destroyers, yet it has the capacity to take out entire planets like the Death Star!
The Zann Consortium has tactics that differ from the tactics used by the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Their tactics all involve corruption. Some of these include: piracy, intimidation, bribery, kidnapping, racketeering, slavery, corrupt militia, and the black market. An example: The Zann Consortium may take on a tactical mission to abduct leaders of another faction in order to gain ground for themselves. Or, once a planet is corrupt, the Zann Consortium can recruit individuals to fight for them instead of whichever side they were on with the corrupt militia. They can also use the black market to gain illegal vehicles and ships, along with vehicles and ships from the Rebels and the Empire!
The Zann Consortium also has some new abilities that the Rebels or the Empire does not have. These include: cloaking, buzz droids, cluster bombs, chemical warfare, guerrilla warfare, and more! But don't be dismayed, in this expansion all factions get new heroes such as: Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Tyber, Urai Fen, and more. All factions also get new land units and space units. Some of these include: Destroyer Droids, Ewok Handlers, Mercenary Assault Squads, Dark Troopers, Juggernauts, The Rogue Squadron, B-Wings, and more!
In Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption you will find that there have been a few improvements to the game from the previous version. One is that there are now 13 new planets along with the original 43 planets that were in the original game. The original maps have also been changed, however, but the graphics have been greatly enhanced. You can also expect some changes in the terrain on the maps. Some units can cross certain areas of the map better than others. This makes for more thought to be put into you battle strategy. As for battle, you can expect it to take place on land and in space!
The soundtrack is an excellent score that you would expect from a Star Wars game. The sound effects are also the thrilling ones you are used to hearing from Star Wars. The cinematic cut scenes are of gorgeous quality as well.
Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption is available for your PC. It has an ESRB rating of T for teen. This is because the game features fantasy violence. If you want to cheat and find out everything there is to know about the game, a strategy guide is available.
