Being a huge fan of Star Wars I let out a little scream when I saw these at my local Save-A-Lot for a dollar a box. Even though there are only five pouches per box, the flavor assortment and shapes are more than worth it. The shapes include Yoda (green / lime), Clone Trooper (red / cherry), Jedi Starfighter (purple / grape), R2-D2 (blue / blueberry), C-3PO (orange / orange) and General Grevious (dark orange / fruit punch). The flavors are great and robust and if you are in to mixing the flavors you can have a lot of fun coming up with different combinations.
These are not gummy candies so they are a little harder and more solid than other Star Wars type treats. Likewise, they are a solid color and not see-through. The individual pouches contain about ten fruit snacks and the packages are labeled with the Star Wars logo on them but do not have the nutritional values listed on them. These would be nice to add to a Halloween treat bag but I wouldn't hand them out ghouls and boos who come knocking because they are not labeled as being fruits names, just the Star Wars logo.
One pouch is considered one serving and contains 100 calories, 1 gram of fat, 22 grams of carbohydrates and no protein. Kids absolutely love these because of the flavors and shapes of them; compared to some of the other similar Star Wars fruit treats and gummies these are the best looking with the most amount of detail. You can check the side panel of the box for the six shapes I listed above but if you are a fan of the epic saga then you'll be able to see these and instantly recognize them. A couple of the shapes are smaller than the others; I wouldn't give these to kids under the age of five because of the possibility of a choking hazard.
