More Than Just Coffee

I visited this Starbucks location several times over the course of two months to review it fairly. Any place can have either a really good day or a really crummy day. I deliberately went on different days of the week and at different times of day just to see if the experience would always be the same.

I am happy to report that no matter what the circumstances were when I went into the store; it was always an outstanding experience. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. The coffee was always fresh and exactly how I ordered it.

The best thing? Refills are only .54 cents.

One day to add a little fun to my coffee experience the girl serving me Leanne, quickly drew a picture of a bird on the side of the cup for my name 'Robin'. She ran out of room on the cup so behind the bird she wrote "tweet".

I know it wasn't her intention to have the bird on the cup look like it was passing high pitched gas, but it made me laugh anyway. I thought it was thoughtful of her to play around a little.

The staff works very well together. Their experience shines through when they have a line of customers and are able to get through them quickly and have all the orders completed correctly.

In my many visits I never saw any angry or upset customers. This is extremely unusual in any 'fast food' type business. Every customer walked away pleased with their purchases which can only be contributed to the well training of the staff.

On down times it is not unusual to see one employee in particular - Roy, working hard at keeping the store completely spotless. The entire staff works very hard at keeping the store clean but Roy is the first to always have a scrub brush and bucket in his hands as soon as the last customer walks away from the counter.

The inside of the store smells of fresh baked goods. I tried a couple different things and can highly recommend the marble loaf and coffee cake. Both were very good sized and worth the price.

Occasionally they offer small samples of different baked goods. They are trying to further my addiction to this store and its working.

The do offer low fat and sugar free baked goods for those of us that are on a diet.

Outside of the store is set up to feel like an outside living room. There are several comfortable couches and stuffed chairs with coffee tables in the middle. The area is surrounded with palm trees and plants to isolate you from the traffic and noise of the main road. There are ceiling fans with lighting so the time of your visit is always a fairly private and comfortable one.

The people that work there are more than just employees, they are friends and it shows. They are always willing to offer help and support to each other to get things done. I've watched for the eye-rolling 'it's not my job' or 'why am I stuck doing it' attitudes that you often see in the food industry and never saw it. They delegate and share responsibilities in a fun, friendly and professional way.

None of them knew I was there to review them and I got the opportunity to see them as they would work together naturally. Michael, Veronica, Lisa, Liz, Mandy, Chloe and both Angelicas are assets not only to this particular store but to the entire Starbucks Corporation. Each of them has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcomed, made me laugh or tried to teach me a few words in Spanish.

It's one of the very few places that have a tip cup on the counter that doesn't bug me. These people earn their tips. They are doing more than just handing you a cup of coffee or a muffin, they are entertaining you. I felt it was sincere and not just an act because it was their job.

I am grateful for the outstanding service and the friendly way I am always treated when I walk into the store. I'm impressed that the coffee is always fresh and the food is never stale. I am also impressed with how clean the store is at all times.

It's more than just a coffee shop. It's unintentionally become my other home, not just for the coffee and baked goods but because of the people who work there. I highly recommend this Starbucks location. It's a wonderful place to sit, relax and enjoy a fantastic cup of coffee.

  • The staff is fun and friendly.
The employees at this location work extremely well together and make very few (if any) mistakes. The training and management at this location has done a wonderful job making this Starbucks stand out as one of the top stores in the Kissimmee, Fl area.

We totally do not have any Starbucks around my area. I live in a very rural area. I get my lattes and mochas from Sheetz. Ever heard of it? They make great lattes and other types of gourmet coffees for decent prices. I have been to a Starbucks in NYC and enjoyed it. Their coffee is a bit expensive but I did have a great experience. Thanks for your comments on my articles~ This was indeed a great read:)

What do you think is the best SBUX in Orlando, FL?

I would say this one. I have a SBUX (I like that) closer to my home that tried to charge me more for liquid sugar. They also weren't as clean as this SBUX.
