STARBUCKS - "Would You like an Album with That?"

HEAR MUSIC - Starbucks New Record Label

f.w.
The new Starbucks record label, Hear Music, had revealed that Paul McCartney is its first signing. Starbucks in the music world? Well, they do have a little track record in the music world. Starbucks chain has had several "exclusive-to-Starbucks" albums in the past which include Bob Dylan's Live at the Gaslight 1962 and a acoustic version of Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill.

So, how are they going to market their new albums? With their introduction of selling coffee in three sizes; (small, medium and large and) which some corporate whizz decided to change e.g,- the word small is now tall, medium is now grande and the world large implies that you are obese or greedy so they altered this one to Venti. I personally like Venti...its so foreign....so maybe the corporate whizz got one of the changes right.

My question is will Starbucks sell singles, albums and downloads in the same way they sell their coffee? And, if they do, the corporate whizz kids must be banging their heads together in order to come up with new terms for their musial products. Will we have the single changed to a mini, an album altered to a ....oh, never mind...to baffling. I will just have to wait until the corporate whizz kids finish beating themselves up and then they can reveal their new version to the world.

Hear Music's first unveiling is Paul McCartney the ex-Beatle and I eagerly await their list of artists in the coming weeks. It appears that when an artist is released that Starbucks will retain the albums exclusively for a few weeks before they will be released to traditional musical outlets. Don't be surprised if you go to buy a Venti coffee (remember the large coffee) if you hear "would you like an album with that?".

Starbucks whizz kids had to come up with a name for small, medium and large coffee...I wonder what they will come up with for an album?
