Gameplay
The objective of the game is to rotate the stars until a picture is formed from all the stars.
To rotate the stars, simply move your cursor around the screen. The stars will move with the cursor. All the stars are connected in such a way that they all move together. Continue rotating the stars until you have formed a picture. When you have formed a picture, the level will end and give you points for completing the level. You can then advance to the next level by clicking on the sign post that says
"next level" with an arrow pointing to the right.
To get to the game's main menu, simply press Esc or click on the Menu button at the top-left of the screen. It should be noted that pressing Esc or clicking on the Menu button does not pause the game but will, instead, end your game and take you to the main menu.
At the top-right of the screen, you can toggle the game's music and sound volume.
At the bottom-left of the screen, you can see the level you are currently on. There are a total of 64 levels that you can play.
At the bottom-right of the screen, you can view your current score. Depending on which mode of play your are playing, you may also view a timer at the bottom-right of the screen.
There are three different modes of play. These include:
-Relax: the easiest difficulty level, as there is no time limit
-Time Run: set at medium difficulty with you racing the clock to see how quickly you can complete all the levels
-Timer: the most difficult mode of play, as you must complete the levels before the timer runs down completely.
Each mode of play has a different set of rules, but the overall objective remains the same.
Game Review
Starlight is a relaxing, simple game that is perfect for those looking to take a quick break from work or study. The gameplay itself is not too difficult, but the game is visually appealing, which keeps players playing even with the game's limited gameplay. The music is also relaxing and gives the whole game a calming atmosphere. With 64 different levels, the game can keep players playing for a long time, but can also be quite repetitive.
Starlight scores a 7/10 for its calming gameplay. Adding a difficulty mode that required players to rotate more than one set of stars would make the game more challenging and enjoyable for gamers looking for more gameplay.
