Start Making Money with Your Web Site Using Text Ads

So you want to make money online with your Web site. Well, the first thing you will need is to have is a Web site and the second is to have Web traffic. The first one might sound easy enough but if its not well plan it will not achieve any Web traffic. Once you have your Web site and you are receiving a great deal amount of traffic you may apply to any of the Web site publishing sites out there. There are a lot out there and picking the right one for you is essential. You don't want to be sign up to numerous ad Web sites and have your earnings spread all over the place. Select one that fits you and go with it.

As far as text ad advertising there are a lot, and this is the kind of ad most small Web sites go for. Text ad advertising is the kind of ad that you see on search engines and almost every Web site. They contain a link and a small description and can be place anywhere on your Web site. These ads pay publishers by the click, meaning every time a visitor on your Web site clicks on the link. This is also known as Pay Per Click advertising.

The text ad advertiser that everyone is the most familiar with is AdSense. AdSense is run by Google and is not only the best text ad company out there but holds the largest advertiser pool. AdSense has also improved over the years by adding other features to the way you may place their ads. They also use Adwords to obtain their advertisers. AdSense is a little hard to be approve for since they do review every application and you must meet their guidelines. The primary goal of AdSense, I believe, is that they look for unique content and want to be able to offer a great product to their advertisers. If you are approved for Adsense, then this will be a great way to make money online. Specially since they do offer ads based on the content of your Web site. The next text ad advertiser is Adbrite. Adbrite has been around for while too and is the easiest to join. They not only run text ads, but also banner ads, inline ads, and full page ads. This makes it easier to generate revenue from numerous forms. Adbrite uses there Web site to generate advertisers and they also do have a large selection. On that note, I have found that sometimes unwanted ads or the "You are a winner" ads lurk in Adbrite, but you may avoid this by manually approving your ads that you want to display. Now, if you have great content then that wont be a proble. I have found that it is a little easier to generate revenue from here since some of their ads do pay by the number of pageviews aside from the pay per click. Yahoo Publisher, a smaller alternative to the above. You don't hear much about Yahoo Publisher because they are kinda of new. They are easy to use and can you may set up different styles of text ads and you may also integrate your ads to an RSS feed. The only problem I've found with them was that their ad targeting is not as great a Google's AdSense. Aside from that if you do use Yahoo Publisher, I recommend getting Adbrite and integrate your Yahoo Publisher with it so when your ads on Adbrite are low it will display your Yahoo ads.
