Their eyes meet from across the room.
It's only for a minute, but seems like eternity.
She thinks about him, he thinks about her.
They exchange glances through the night constantly.
She smiles at him, and he at her.
He starts to walk over, but is taken off course.
Someone wants to talk to him desperately
about something he could care less about of course.
He mingles through the crowd, hoping to catch a glance,
of the lady who has captured his attention.
Hopefully, if he can, he'll persuade her to dance.
And later be able to hold a long conversation.
He sees her sitting alone and readies his move.
Then someone else sits beside her to ruin the mood.
She notices this and smiles his way.
Hoping later he'll come her way.
As the night comes to a close, they meet again.
She is putting on her coat and starts to leave.
He knows he has to make his move for sure.
He walks over to her and ask, "Hi. Can I walk you to your door?"
She smiles at him somewhat entranced.
So begins the start of a romance.
