Start a Theme Club for Moms

Moms need time off and away from the family and hectic life every now and then. Why not start a moms theme club amongst your girlfriends. It would be fun and a way to get away every so often. This is how the club would go.

THEME CLUB IDEA: The theme club idea would be for girlfriends, who are also moms to get away from the family once or twice a month and spend some downtime together. The club would plan a meeting place, maybe a different place for each meeting. The theme club would choose at each meeting what the theme for the next meeting would be.

THEME CLUB OPTIONS: The options will be different for every meeting. One meeting may be a wine tasting theme, where everyone will share a bottle of their favorite wine and have some cheese to go with it and simply socialize. Another meeting may be a Chinese themed meeting, where everyone will bring one of their favorite Chinese dishes and share it. And one more option may be an Italian themed meeting, all of the members will bring their favorite Italian dish to share. Be creative in coming up with different themes for different meetings.

GET MEMBERS: First, invite your girlfriends, family members, and neighbors who are also moms. They do not all have to be moms, it is up to you. Let them know you would like to start a theme club. Let them know how each meeting will have a different theme and they will get the chance to get away once or twice a month. Make a theme decision for the first meeting, like the wine tasting theme, and let them know what they should bring. Also, tell them in the invitations that at the first meeting everyone will help decide how often meetings should be held, where meetings should be held, and what the theme for the next meeting should be. Let them know that you will be holding the first meeting at your house, or wherever you choose to hold it. Be sure to include the time and date of when the meeting will be held.

THE CLUB MEETING: When everyone arrives, have things ready so that people can get the party started. If you hold a wine themed meeting, for example, make sure to have the cheese and crackers cut up and prepare on serving dished for everyone to try. Be sure to always have extra paper plates and silverware on hand, as well as napkins and beverages. Have fun and be creative with ideas for your new themed club parties!
