Start Writing Now with Three Sites

Associated Content, Constant Content, and Textbroker All Allow the Amateur Writer a Chance to Shine

Joshua Cook
Today, in this short post, I am going to be speaking to you about three writing websites: Associated Content from Yahoo!, Constant Content, and Textbroker. If you are like me, and want to write, these three sites are great for beginners or new writers. I am just going to give you a brief overview, as you can find more detailed info about each site here or at the respective sites.

The first site, Associated Content from Yahoo!, is a great place for you to break your writing chops in a little bit. When you publish with Associated Content, you have the choice to either put your article up for an Upfront Payment plus get paid off your page views or just publish it for free and just earn off the page views. Since they have been acquired by Yahoo, Associated Content has gotten stricter on the types of articles they actually pay for, but you can still submit almost any kind of article for free and still collect money off the page views. You won't get rich off Associated Content, but if you are just starting out writing web content, this is a great site to start learning the basics at. Another reason I recommend this site for beginners, or anybody really, is the amazing support the community gives each other. I have found so much help, both professionally and personally, from the other authors here. There is such a strong community of writers that you can find groups of these writers helping each other all over the internet; such as the Y!CN Peer Mentors group on Facebook.

Next, lets look at Constant Content. This site is set up a little differently than Associated Content is. Instead of writing articles for your readers, you can submit articles and Constant Content allows clients to search their database of articles for content they want. Their editing is much more stringent than Associated Content, which does help improve your writing. They are also stricter on the kinds of articles they accept; as in no first person writing or blog style writing. Also, you do not get paid for page views with Constant Content, but you can set your own prices, which is generally higher than Associated Content. If you can write well enough, this site may be a good place for you to make a few bucks.

The final site is one that I have just started writing with. Textbroker is like Constant Content in that you do not write to your readers, but clients come onto the site and post articles they need written. You then search for which ones you want to write. The pay system is set up per word, and there are a lot of articles that need to be written. I have only written three so far, but with an average price of four bucks each. This site looks like a great place to go to if you have a lot of free time and want to make some money.
