Net-1-1.com is a complete flash enabled site builder with a lot of options that will give you some very high end results. There are a few steps that can ease you past the initial learning curve. The best thing about that is you have 10 days free trial to do it.

Step one: Go ahead and sign up for the trial HERE. You only need at the very least a username, password, and email.

Step two: Once signed in, turn down your sound, then go to "Edit Site". There is music playing that surprises you when you first open it up. You will see a lot of graphics and other things going on. Consider this the fully loaded version. The plan is to reduce this to its most basic format and have you start from near scratch.

Step three: Lets kill the sound. First, close the initial dark box on the page that lists the steps for creating a site. Next, if the intro page is still up, skip it. If you see what looks to be a sound meter bouncing around in the upper right corner of the window, click it and you should hear the sound go off.

Now lets permanently cut out the sounds for now. Click on the "Select Music" button (9). Click "no music" button. You wont here a click or anything but your sound is now off. Close that window and your site will restart itself. Lets also cut out those pesky mouse sounds. Go click the "advanced button" at the bottom right corner of the window and a list of buttons will open up. Click on "Default Content" and then click on the "No" check box at the bottom. Close that window and save your work with the orange "Save" button.

Alright, now your site should be very quiet.

Now you still have a lot of graphic stuff going on. What you are looking at is an introduction that loads before you get to the actual site. This would be useful for announcements and holiday greetings. What we want is something more traditional so we need to get rid of the introductions.

Step Four: Click on "Edit Intro Content" (4). Click on the white drop down menu and choose 0. Then close.

Now you can see your site for what it is. Yay!

Now you can see that there are 10 buttons. These are the 10 pages to your site. Click on any one.

When you're on the main area you will see more graphics and other items. We are going to reduce this as well.

Step Five: Click "Edit Pages"(5). The drop box at the very top of the page needs to be the number of pages you may need for your site. For this excersise, change it to "1". Change the subpage dropbox to "0". Change your total Images to "0".

Step Six: Get rid of the pop up pages. Click "Edit Pop Up Pages" . Change total pop up pages to "0".

Step Seven: Get rid of the image gallery. Click "Edit Image Gallery". Change total image galleries to "0".

Step Eight: Get rid of the media player. Click on "Media Player". Just close it after it opens and it should go away.

Step Nine: Get rid of the guest book. Click "Advanced" then click on "Guest Book". Click on the "No" check box then close. Please Save your work and restart.

Ok at this point the site should be very basic. At this point now you need to find the type of site Look you want. Now you can follow the builder pattern from 1 to 2 to 3 and so forth.

Your site's Look is determined by two things. The theme (1) and the design (2). The theme is the background picture of your site. It can be anything but make sure it represents the feel you want your site to represent. You can check out "Select Theme" to see what is available.

The Design (2) sits on top of your back ground and is the moving graphics that become your buttons and pages. These can be found under "Select Design". Both of these will become the feel and function of your site. Play around with all of it to find what feels best to you.

You begin to update the name of your site and the specific pages through the buttons 3 thru 6. You can customize these to your heart's content. These buttons you will get in the most basic version of Net-1-1.com. For more advanced sites, you must upgrade. Right now the basic goes for $10 a month.
