Starting My Day

I just woke up
I am starting my day
The sun is what woke me
With one single ray

Starting the coffee
I'm filling my cup
Now its time
To get the kids up

Breakfast is next
But what will I make
You know what's good
A warm coffee cake

The kids are busy
Cartoons are on
As I check my e mail
I try not to yawn

I still don't know
What we are doing today
Maybe we could
Go outside to play

I look out the window
And see that it's raining
What else can we do
That will be entertaining

I'm still not sure
But have no doubt
That soon we will
Figure something out
