BEWARE: Federal USA legislatures recently passed a new ruling on March 2, 2010 for newcomers filing a Ga. Dept. of Labor/Federal unemployment insurance claim. Regarding this NEW in-house "Work-Shop Program" which you must join within the next (2) two weeks or LESS or your account will be suspended after receiving this extremely harmful monetary letter in the USA mail where you normally receive your unemployment checks each week?
This particular letter states that you must call or contact your local federal Dept.of Labor unemployment office and set-up this (1) one day each month PERSONALLY attended "Work Shop Program" through one of their government paid Dept. of Labor employee representatives? "However? The only problem is?" Trying to CALL your local federal Department of Labor office "is like trying to contact the president of the United States!"
A hard-working close friend of mine recently laid off from his (10) ten year job here in Georgia, USA stated that he spent nearly (2) two weeks trying to call his local unemployment (Ga. Dept. of Labor) office after receiving this extraordinary letter and only received either a busy signal or completely "NO answer at all? He also stated that after 10 rings or less. "The phone line was mysteriously disconnected? Without any voice mail or speech greeting of any kind? Absolutely Nothing!"
Unfortunately? Because he did not sign up for this NEW in-house "Work Shop Program" his unemployment weekly account was ironically suspended? Which began after March 2, 2010. Stating that his PIN number had been reluctantly suspended over the Internet and or even over the phone while he was trying to weekly certify/report his unemployment normally on a Sunday night.
My close life-time Georgia friend also explained to me carefully, that he finally "got pissed off and had to drive all the way down to the nearest unemployment office" 22 miles away from his home to get this matter resolved. He said he kindly explained to the front desk receptionist/clerk what had happened, and she politely told him to have a seat and someone will call you, which took about 30 minutes of his waiting time, which he explained was not that bad at the time of this particular day.
He said that he somehow un-planned sat down where he could see the in-coming receptionist phone calls to the side. "He hilariously told me with some frustration and even his possible un-explained relief!" This female government paid receptionist would pick up the phone each time it rang, press a button and set it down beside the phone module?
After about (5) five minutes or more, she would ironically place the phone back on the hook?" Another employee came over and took over continuing the same situation? Thus, seemingly the both taking turns for some strange reason?
Eventually, this "Work Shop Program" (whom weirdly acted like a NEW car sells person expert) at this particular location speaker arrived and called his name, apologized for the inconvenience regarding the contact phone calls. And stated the fact: "We are really busy over the phone talking to our unemployed claimants? and even in person". My life-time friend told me? "Do you think this is really true?" Maybe I should have sat down with a hidden camera while I was waiting?
Here is copy of the NEW Federal USA April 20, 2010 unemployment report:
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
On April 15, 2010, President Obama signed legislation to extend the eligibility period of Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC), State Extended Benefits (SEB), and Federal Additional Compensation (FAC). The new bill did not add more weeks of benefits, but extended the period of time someone could file for EUC or SEB and receive FAC.
The Georgia Department of Labor is currently identifying those individuals who meet the eligibility requirements, as outlined in legislation. Those individuals who meet the eligibility requirements will receive a notification letter with instructions on how to apply for the additional extended benefits by April 30, 2010.
# Fourth Extension Available: Fourth-Tier Emergency Unemployment Compensation (4th Tier EUC) provides up to 6 weeks of additional benefits to individuals who have exhausted 3rd Tier EUC benefits and cannot establish a new regular unemployment insurance (UI) claim. Individuals must qualify for and exhaust 3rd Tier EUC benefits prior to or during the claim week of May 23 - 29, 2010, in order to qualify for 4th Tier EUC benefits.
