State Money Goes to Crown Heights
Neighborhood: Crown Heights
Brooklyn, NY 11215
United States of America
Crown Heights is getting our money - almost $2 million of it.

This week, Crown Heights was awarded a $1.175 million grant from state housing agencies to build a four-building, 48-unit cooperative. In fact, Crown Heights is one of many neighborhoods to receive state financing for this very purpose.

In all, $258.4 million was issued by New York's Housing Finance Agency and the Affordable Housing Corporation to build new residential buildings and preserve existing housing units throughout the state.

We'll see the new buildings in Crown Heights at 1507-1509 Bergen Street between Troy and Schenectady avenues. The co-op will be developed by Community Preservation Corporation Resources and designed by Manhattan's RKT&B Architects.
