(2) Cayuga Lake State Park is located in Seneca Falls, New York. The park is open all year round with vacation cabin rentals. The camping season starts the last week in April and ends in October. (3) Fillmore Glen State Park is located in Moravia, New York. Fillmore Glen offers fantastic views when hiking on trails along the gorge and wooded surroundings. This park has 60 campsites, with camping season beginning in mid-May and ending in October. Cabin rentals are also available at a close by location. (4) Taughannock Falls State Park is located in Trumansburg, NY and is a popular attraction in the Northeast due to the 215 feet waterfall. There are campsites and cabin rentals nearby. The camping season begins the last weekend in March and closes around October. Taughannock Falls State Park has tons of various hiking and biking trails, playgrounds, and a boat launch site. (5) Watkins Glen State Park is located in Watkins Glen, New York. This State Park was listed as one of the Top 100 Campgrounds across the nation. There are 19 different waterfalls along a nearby stream. In addition to spectacular hiking trails, there are picnic sites, and an Olympic size swimming pool. (6) Fair Haven Beach State Park is located in Fair Haven, New York and was named as one of the Top 100 Campgrounds in the nation for 2004. The campsites open in April and close at the end of October. Fair Haven Beach offers full service accommodations to many overnight guests. In addition to camping, cabin retails are available. Rowboats, canoes, and paddle boats are also available for rentals. The Finger Lakes Region of New York is a beautiful area to visit. In addition to New York State Parks, there are many local parks that offer campsites; however, they do not always have the extra activities and events on-site. As park admission or camping fees generally change from season to season, it is recommend that anyone interested contact the park ahead of time.
