With their fifth studio album Static Bliss, the members of Jag Star set out to conquer the musical world with their emotionally-charged lyrics and musically-influenced sounds. Comprised of 10 Rock/Pop tracks, Static Bliss is sure to be a major success for Jag Star. Similar to rock groups No Doubt and Paramore, Jag Star deliver a high-powered album full of emotion to listeners around the world.
After working with Rock group P.O.D., Producer Travis Wyrick helped Jag Star on their latest album Static Bliss, while collaborating with the band's lead singer/songwriter Sarah Lewis. After receiving several songwriting awards including ITunes Next Big Hit and the USA Songwriting Competition, musical producers and listeners began to take notice of Singer/Songwriter Sarah Lewis. Lewis' songwriting success inspired her to form Jag Star in 1998. Two years later, Jag Star released their first album The Beginning. After the release of their first studio album, Jag Star went on to release 4 more albums including Static Bliss.
On Static Bliss, each song tells a different story behind the music displaying feelings of regret on the modern Rock track called "Rewind", having a sense of wonder on "Why Do I Miss you", and giving up the fight for love in "Can't Make You Happy". In "Rewind", the lyrics tell of wanting to "rewind" and regretting losing the love that meant so much before. The track features the sounds of a piano which helps to further dramatize the song. In "Why Do I Miss You", the song asks questions of wonder as singer/songwriter Sarah Lewis belts out, "Why do I Miss You? Why do I care when you're so far gone?" The lyrics of the song describe the feelings many feel after breaking up with a former flame. On the track "Can't Make You Happy", the story tells of giving up the fight for love through emotional lyrics, "I have been here for you. I have laid it on the line; I have given up the world around me anytime." The powerful lyrics mention leaving the love he/she once had due to the other not fighting for the same.
Before the album's release, Jag Star's high-powered single "Talk to me" turned out to be a major success for the group. After being featured on Season 5 of MTV's reality series The Hills, "Talk to me" became an instant hit through downloads and music purchases across the country. Due to the success of the track, Static Bliss was released digitally in November of 2009 to coincide with the single's success on the reality show. Thanks to the ever-growing popularity of their music, Jag Star have received high praises through various media outlets. Vanity Fair magazine mentioned, "Jag Star has guaranteed its place in the pop music firmament!", while Southeast Performer Magazine stated, "The amazing lyrical content of this band completely defies everything pop music stands for." With the help of the musical sounds and lyrics of Static Bliss, Jag Star will continue to rise as one of a top phenomenon for Pop/Rock genre.
