Stay at Home Moms! Are You Members of Your Local Mom's Club?

A little over three years ago we moved 600 miles from home. We moved to a town where we had no family members and we didn't know a single person. It was a little scary at first. I knew that I needed to jump in and get involved right away and I was so fortunate when I found our local Mom's Club! They have them all over and you should be able to find your local Mom's Club by going to www.momsclub.org

Mom's Club is great because your children get to make friends and so do you! You'll get to have play dates and such and the kids get to play and the moms get to visit. How great is that? It's very organized which is pretty nice. Each month people volunteer to host certain activities and a calendar is sent out to all the members monthly. There is also a newsletter that gets mailed out monthly. The newsletter is great because it has events happening during the month that you might not have known about otherwise.

Each month there is also a MNO (Mom's night out). These are great. It's a great way to get to know the moms better, but you also get a break from your kids! Not that we don't all love being parents, but we do need a break from time to time. Plus this gives dad a little time to hang out with the kids without having you around. It's nice to see all the different moms in a different element too. A MNO might include dinner or drinks somewhere, making jewelry at a shop or any number of things that moms enjoy doing.

There is also a program called Momma Meals. This is great for new mothers. You have the option of whether or not you want to be a part of this. Basically if you do you just tell whoever is in charge and once your child is born they will make sure you are set up with meals for awhile. How nice is that? Other mothers cooking for you so you can relax and enjoy your new bundle of joy!

I can't say enough good things about Mom's Club. If you are a new mother or are a stay at home mom who has never heard of this, check it out! I guarantee you'll love it. You and your children will build friendships to last a lifetime!
