Make some time to go out with your friends. Ask your spouse to watch the children for a while or hire a babysitter so you can get out of the house and have some fun just being you. It is important for a woman to take some time away from being a mommy and just be herself. Set some time once a week or at least once a month. It will lift your spirits and make you feel better about yourself.
Go to the gym and sign up for a year's membership. Then make sure you go once or twice a week. This will also get you away from the house and will keep you fit as well. Stay at home moms not only lose their freedom to do what they want, but also their figure as well, because they do not have a whole lot of time or energy to workout. If you actually go out and purchase a year's membership to your local gym, this will give you that extra push to get out there and just do it.
Other ways to pamper yourself is to go out and get yourself a manicure and/or pedicure. Nothing beats a mom with a great set of nails. This adds to her beauty, increasing her confidence, self esteem and general love for herself. Moms have a tendency to let themselves go because their main focus is on their children. Going out and getting something as small as a manicure will help restore her value in herself.
If you can't afford to go out and splurge on yourself, then simply pamper yourself at home. You can do this by locking yourself in your bathroom (obviously with your hubby watching the kids), lighting some candles, playing some of your favorite music and losing yourself in a luxurious bubble bath. You can also use this time to do some yoga or mediation which also helps to relax and calm the mind and spirit.
Being a mom, you probably do not have a whole lot of time to find ways to pamper yourself, so every little thing you do for yourself counts. Even if when at the grocery store you pick yourself up a cosmopolitan magazine or some other women's magazine, this counts. Take those little steps to find yourself and give yourself some attention as this will only make you a better mom and a better person in general.
